Well after 6 and a bit years of being involved in Gravity Canterbury I have formally resigned from the club.
In September of 2008 cyclists from around the world will gather on SR305 outside of Battle Mountain, Nevada for the 9th consecutive year to race on one of the straightest, flattest, and smoothest surfaces in the world. The 4,619ft (1,408m) altitude road allows riders an acceleration zone of over 4 miles, enabling them to reach their maximum velocity before being timed over a 200 meter distance.
Winter mountainbiking in Christchurch is a guilty pleasure. There is a list of reasons why not to ride as long as the ruts that form in the wake of munter riders who choose to disobey the track closures.
It's been a murky winter here in Christchurch. It seems like every other day when I get up and open the curtains, it's raining.
We're almost half way thru this years tour already and its still wide open as to who will be the victor on the 27th of July in Paris, unlike previous years theres no clear favourite, and any of the riders in the top 10 could easily walk away with the Maillot Jaune.

The Wharfedale track is always a fantastic fun filled day of singletrack.
The Rev cycling festival certainly lured an eclectic mix of riders to the University of Waikato. As mobs of dirty lycra clad roadies inhabit the fields, a small cluster of us turn up will full faces and armour ready to wreak some havoc.
