Stepping down...

Well after 6 and a bit years of being involved in Gravity Canterbury I have formally resigned from the club.

Its been a really busy 6 years for me with many hundreds (if not thousands!) of hours spent on events, races, and general organization, serving this last year as President has also given me a chance to drive the strategy and direction and I was especially proud of what we achieved as a committee with the NZ Open and Bike HQ Series being bigger and better than ever, as well as our Junior Coaching Clinics and track work and relationship building with the Port Hills Rangers.

In some ways it was hard to say goodbye as theres been a lot of fun times that went with the hard work, but all things must come to an end and I have a new set of priorities in my life now, most importantly spending quality time with my newly expanded family is whats number one for me.

I wish the new committee all the best for the coming year and hope things continue to grow in the manner they have in the past, some fresh blood always brings new ideas as well so it will be exciting to see what comes from it!
